Macbook Pro Prob

Bought a Macbook Pro just under a year ago and after installing Yosemite at the weekend I noticed the screen didn't look right.
Today the display has gone haywire, virtually unusable.
Not what I expected from a grands worth of gear.....

Never update to a new operating system until at least one update to is has happened. I do the same with OSX and IOS. Mavericks works perfectly well and im happy waiting a few weeks for Yosemite bugs to be ironed out.

It is still under warranty so make a Genius appointment at the Apple store and they will sort it for you or replace it if needed.

My air updated just fine. It's a pretty slick upgrade if you have an iphone. If you don't then it's probably not worth it - though it is free.
I also picked up a Surface 3 (mostly because of stupid Mac work connectivity problems) and I have to say I'm very impressed. It's a good product and an excellent tool for work if you have to move about a bit.

Mine is 4 years old, starts up as soon as I turn it on, lasts for ages, is fast and looks good

Cough, I bought my Mac for it's creative attributes, Garage Band alone is an amazing tool, years ago it would have cost about 10 grand to set up a studio to do what it does.

Yosemite froze my Mac when I was half way through installation. I just turned it off and on again. Worked fine, then I couldn't get mail drop to work. Emails take ages to send and are in the outbox for ages. Wifi connection keeps dropping.
I should have stayed on Mavericks!

Even I know what Yosemite is and I'm a die hard PC man, its the upgrade from Mavericks
